Sincan Awareness Raising Event Held in Ankara

Sincan Awareness Raising Event was held on 8 September 2021 in Ankara. The event was hosted by Sincan District Governor Abdullah Küçük, Ministry of Interior KİHBİ Department and UNDP.

After the opening speeches, Sincan District Governor Abdullah Küçük gave a speech on Sincan Local Prevention and Security Plan Implementations and UNDP Key Expert Dr. Sevcan Kılıç Akıncı made a presentation on the Importance of Civilian Oversight to Build Trust. Then, Dr. Ömer Bilen, the UNDP Expert responsible for Public Opinion Polls, presented the Sincan Local Security Survey Results to the participants.

In the afternoon session, group work was held under the title of “Innovative Approaches to Improve Civilian Oversight”. In addition, a workshop was held in which the Sincan local action plan was evaluated.

The event was concluded with identification of further steps to be taken under the Project.
