Hatay Experience Sharing Workshop was held on August 26

The workshop was hosted by Hatay Deputy Governor Aydın Tetikoğlu, Ministry of Interior KIHBI Department and UNDP Representatives.

The event started with UNDP Key Expert Sevcan KILIÇ Akıncı’s presentation on “The Purpose of the Workshop and the Targets Achieved in the Scope of the Pilot Implementation of the Project”. Then, a panel titled “Lessons Learned and Best Practices on the Role of Inter-Agency Cooperation and Civic Participation in Crime Prevention” was held. During the panel, İskenderun Mayor Kemal Nadir Ünal, Police Chief Nevzat Güneş, İskenderun Guidance and Research Center Representative Neslihan Kırmit and NGO Representative Musa Salık exchanged views on best practices on crime prevention.

In the afternoon session, UNDP Specialist Mathieu Zagrodzki met with the participants with his presentation titled “Community Supported Law Enforcement Service as a Crime Prevention Method with Citizen Participation”.
The event ended with a group photo shoot.
